Several activites that are popular thoughout the state include; boating, biking, bird watching, hiking, rafting, rock climbing, swimming, skiing, and surfing. California also has several wine regions such as the Napa Valley which is one of the most popular places to visit in the state.
The state also has a several National and State Parks including Yosemite National Park whch is known for its spectacular granite cliffs and the Humboldt Redwoods State Park which is famous for its coastal redwoods.
